from pause to fast forward
26 juin, 13h, coup de fil empressé de la radio : « on aimerait faire une émission spéciale michael jackson, est-ce que vous arrivez à préparer quelque chose pour ce soir ? » coïncidence, hasard ou que sais-je, voilà quelques semaines déjà que guillaume nous a fait tendre l’oreille sur une reprise qu’il s’amuse à détourner et triturer : beat it. c’est donc lui qui se chargera d’aller faire vibrer quelques cordes sur les ondes nationales. à l’écoute de l’émission, une évidence s’impose : reprendre ce titre et le faire entrer dans l’univers zorg. direction notre local pour un enregistrement express. puis germinal, armé de son appareil photo (vous avez bien lu), nous a entraînés dans les dédales du métro pour un shooting improvisé. david quant à lui, s’est chargé de l’écrin virtuel. sous vos yeux et dans vos oreilles, un instantané du moment et la réunion de toutes ces énergies.

june 26th, 1 pm… a phone call from the radio: “we are putting together this special michael jackson show, can you prepare a cover song for tonight?” by coincidence, chance or who knows what, guillaume had already caught our ears a few weeks ago with a cover he was fiddling and playing around with: beat it. he was, thus, the one to send a few notes around on national radio. while listening to the show, one thing suddenly became obvious: we had to cover this song and carry it into the zorg universe. we made our way to our home studio and recorded it in one night. germinal then led us through the metro corridors for an improvised video shoot. finally, david provided this delicate virtual box. for your eyes and ears, a snapshot of the moment, the merging of these different energies:

26 juni, 13 uhr, übereifriger telefonanruf vom Radio: «wir möchten eine spezialsendung über michael jackson machen, könnten sie etwas für heute abend vorbereiten?» zufall, schicksal oder was weiss ich, schon seit einigen wochen schlägt uns guillaume ein remake um die ohren, welches er amüsiert ableitet und zerknüllt: beat it. er ist also derjenige, der es in angriff nimmt einige akkorde auf den nationalen wellen vibrieren zu lassen. beim zuhören der sendung wird offensichtlich, dass dieser titel wiederaufgenommen und ins zorg universum eingebracht werden muss. in richtung unsers lokals für eine express-aufnahme. und germinal, bewaffnet mit seiner kamera (sie haben richtig gelesen), hat uns in das labyrinth der metro für ein improvisiertes shooting entführt. david hingegen hat sich um den virtuellen kasten gekümmert. unter ihren augen und in ihren ohren, ein schnappschuss des moments und die vereinigung von all diesen energien.
